hat I also can't seem to do - be still and not build something else.
I started Alchemí Collective from a need to create. It was a way to not die of the monotony, and let's face it, make extra cash.
Now, its this passion project of helping other creative business owners (mainly the women told to be small and not take up space), how they can build a brand based on the very personality they have been told was TOO MUCH.

In the process of deciding to start a new venture - I had some major life changes - parental loss, and evolutionary shifts (perimenopause started)
 I realized that both of those events were changing who I was, and how I wanted to be present in the world.

I believe we're like wine.  Better with age. We have more life lived, more life TO live, and better freaking stories to tell.
I absolutely love the role I currently hold as a Studio Manager. I'm back in my element of events and portrait - but I'm in the checks and balances side of things. And to be honest : it's kind of a super power. 

I love a good system.  However, you can't be a creative at heart and NOT be creating.  As a self-proclaimed "forever student of interests" - I looked to learn web design, because initially, it was something I wanted to check off a list... turns out - its fun. Also - it's profitable. 

And anything that starts looking liek I can do this during the transitional phase of my husband's retirement is a win in my book.
And - I hope to never stop learning and doing and creating in this life.
